Robert Johnson PGA
A relative
newcomer to the Professional ranks, Robert qualified in February 2000 with
flying colours, achieving 4th place in the Titleist Trainee of the Year
Award. Following the retirement of long-serving Professional Mr. Tom
Shard, Robert has taken over as Saddleworth's Club Professional. Robert
had previously been a member of the Club for 18 years and had played
amateur golf at a high level, playing for his county and county union team
for 10 consecutive seasons. Robert has also been District and Club
Champion.
The Pro's Shop
The shop is a
regular Aladdin's cave for the serious golfer. It is Roberts intention to
provide a superbly stocked shop geared to the man and lady that is keen to
use the best equipment and purchase quality accessories.
The
shop is now a member of Tartan Golf International, a rapidly-growing
buying group. This involvement helps Robert to maintain competitive
pricing throughout the shop. Accounts are held with all the major
suppliers - Titleist/Footjoy, Adidas/Taylor Made, Ping, Maxfli, Wilson,
Cleveland, Ashworth, Peter Scott Knitwear, Pringle, Proquip, Sunderland -
to name only a few.
